OUR STORY

Captain Jon grew up adventuring along New Englands windswept shores.  Exploring hidden  coves, sandy beaches and swimming in Atlantic waters inspired a career on the water.  Living on the Maine coast just increased his awareness of a sense of community and respect for the environment much needed in these times.  

Inspired by a pristine New England tidal harbor, and once home to the best tasting oysters anywhere, Great Salt Pond lends its name.  Today, Great Salt Charters is a unique sightseeing, fishing and lobstering charter venture operating out of picturesque Kittery Point Maine.  Captain Jon offers a variety of hands-on, interactive and educational trips for your group to experience as he hosts your cruise along the scenic coastline aboard Great Salt.

Captain Jon Fischbein holds a USCG Captains license with a rating of Master 50GRT.  He is Red Cross certified in First Aid, CPR and AED.
